Craters

Today we investigated craters! We were trying to determine what causes some craters on the moon to be larger than others. The kids hypothesized that a larger object hitting the moon would make a bigger crater. They also thought if the object came from further away, it would have more force and therefore make a larger crater. We made the surface of the moon out of flour and cocoa and then tested out our hypotheses.

We discovered all kinds of amazing things about craters!
