Snowman Stretch Challenge

On Friday, the kids participated in a STEM challenge. Working in small groups, they were challenged to build the tallest snowman possible, using only paper and tape. The only constraints were that it had to be able to stand on its own, it could only have three sections and must have a hat. The kids worked very hard to make a plan and to build their snowman. They quickly learned that some shapes are more sturdy than others and that sometimes your first plan doesn't work and you need to try something different (which is okay!). Check out some of the projects in progress and the finished snowmen!
