ECO 12/2

Last Friday at ECO we learned about animal gaits. Children played games moving like different animals. We learned that animals are either walkers, waddlers, hoppers or bounders. Here a few pictures of the kids practicing their animal gaits.

In class, earlier this week, we watched and discussed a couple videos about snowshoe hares. Up in the forest we continued this discussion with Amy and then she taught us how to build slash piles to help hares and other animals have places to hide from predators.

We also checked out the Wampanoag village some of the students built during our thanksgiving celebration. A few of the buildings were still standing!
